Purple cameras are cool.
Purple cameras with sparkly lenses that play music are even cooler. And I own one.

It was my first camera and it doesn’t even have film. Or batteries for that matter but it was a fantastic amount of fun. Wind it up, click the shutter and dance away.

I wish Nikon would come out with purple, sparkly, musical cameras.

I really love pictures. One of my favorite things to do is to sit on the floor, surrounded by huge stacks of photo albums and look through all the pages of thick plastic inserts encasing my childhood. It is funny to see how quirky I was as a kid; to look at my own 3 kids and see the exact same expressions that I gave my parents.

Yes. I have fulfilled my parent’s wishes.
“I cannot wait for the day you have kids and they are exactly like you!”

Ahhh, yes. They are proud.

Truly though, those images bring back a lot of feelings. There are a lot of exclamations of “Ohhh! I remember that!” and an equal number of “Really? Mom, why on earth would you keep that picture? It’s awful!” and she gets to tell me stories reminding me just how quirky I was.

And that’s what it is all about for me. Taking the feelings we feel for our kids, our families, and each other and putting them into pictures. That’s all there is to it. I just really love pictures.
